City extends sand drift service
Published Tuesday, 15th December 2015
The City of Wanneroo has extended its sand drift service to include weekends over summer, as part of its commitment to reduce the impact of sand and dust on residents.
The extended sand drift and dust compliance service will operate between:
• 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
• 9am to 4pm on weekends - until 31 March next year.
Residents can report dust and sand drift issues to the service by calling 9405 5000 during business hours or 1300 138 393 after-hours.
The City is committed to developing strategies that significantly reduce the incidence of dust and sand drift on residents, including a sand drift policy and ensuring developers have control measures in place.
The sand drift compliance service will also operate in a limited capacity during the City’s Christmas closure period from 25 December to 4 January.
Further information on the City’s sand drift and dust management policies is available on the City’s website wanneroo.wa.gov.au.
