Many of the City of Wanneroo’s school holiday programs are free, while others are provided at a minimal cost.

The Antipodean Manifesto exhibition

  • Wednesday to Saturday // 10am to 4pm
  • Closed Monday, Tuesday, Sunday and public holidays

The Antipodean Manifesto exhibition is currently on display at the Wanneroo Regional Gallery, and features a selection of paintings, drawings, prints and ceramics by the seven artists and one historian who formed the Antipodean group in Melbourne in 1969.

Drawn from The State Art Collection, it explores the social and political context of late 1950s Australia.

The Antipodean Manifesto - Curator Talk & Slow Looking Experience

Join Curator Emma Bitmead for an immersive slow-looking experience of The Antipodean Manifesto.

Dive deep into the artwork and uncover stories behind the exhibition as Emma shares her curatorial vision and insights.

Wannagrow Giveaway at Community Waste Drop-Off Weekend

Pick up free native shrubs and tree seedlings at the City's Community Waste Drop-Off Weekend. Available on the Saturday only, while stocks last.

  • Date: Saturday 5 April
  • Time: 8am to 4pm
  • Location: Ashby Operations Centre (North Entrance), 1204 Wanneroo Road, Ashby
  • Tickets: No registration needed, but stock will be given out on a first-in, first served basis.

Gardening workshops for kids

Help your child develop a love for gardening. This special WA Tree Festival free event will teach kids (8+) how to grow their own food, care for plants, and embrace sustainability. Plus, they’ll take home seedlings to plant! 

  • Date: Tuesday 15 April
  • Time: 10:30am
  • Location: Buckingham House, 10 Neville Drive Wanneroo. Parking available off Scenic Drive.
  • Tickets: Spots are limited, book now to secure your spot.

A magical celebration of trees

Discover the wonder of trees through stories and songs at this enchanting morning with Faerie Cara! This lively session will feature music, storytelling, and crafts to spark creativity while learning about the wonders of trees. From saplings to old growth forests, kids will learn about the importance of your neighbourhood trees and how to take care of them.
