Terms and conditions

Prior to submission, please read the following terms and conditions:

  • Permit application and filming/photography within our jurisdiction is free of charge.
  • We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice of intention to film/take photos.
  • We will endeavour to approve your application as soon as possible, but we cannot guarantee that access to facilities, reserves or locations will be granted.
  • Filming on City property is done at your own risk.
  • You must provide a copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency with your application, that includes a minimum amount of $10 million.
  • Some areas within the City of Wanneroo do not fall under our jurisdiction. Where a location has been submitted and is not under the City's care, we can advise the applicant which government department looks after the area. For example:
  • Requests for drone filming/photography are not managed by the City and will be referred to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
  • If your Request for Filming/Photography application requires work to be performed on or near a road reserve either impacting the normal flow of traffic or requires a road or footpath closure, a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) must be submitted via the City of Wanneroo TMP online portal. To access the portal or to view the City’s FAQs page for TMPs visit: wanneroo.wa.gov.au/trafficmanagementplans. If a road closure is requested as part of a Traffic Management Plan, the lead time required is 20 working days. A Traffic Management Plan not requesting a road closure will require 10 working days.
