Smart City Strategy
The Smart City
A city that applies digital technology, data and innovative practices to improve liveability, sustainability and productivity.
Help us shape the Smart City Strategy
You are invited to participate in community engagement to help shape the City of Wanneroo’s Smart City Strategy and Data Management Framework.
Engagement is now open and the community is invited to complete a short online survey that will feed into the Strategy and/or participate in an online community engagement session.
If you have any queries, contact Leeann Mitchell, Manager Customer and Information Services (See contact details below)
Background
Smart cities strategies are becoming increasingly popular around the globe as they encourage the acceleration of the use of smart technology, improved digital connectivity and drive local innovation.
The demands and possibilities of data are increasing, which in turn will require better data management that will support the City’s desire to make better use data to drive decision-making.
The City is in the early stages in the development of a Smart City Strategy and Data Management Framework which to date, has involved a series of digital and face to face engagement sessions targeted to key community groups as well as the internal team members within the City.
We are now inviting members of the broader community and business networks to participate in a short online survey that will feed into the Strategy.
Your ideas and overall feedback will be invaluable to these future developments. Moreover, broad collaboration right across the City will be crucial in turning the Smart City vision into results.
With your input, we can set the foundations and pathways to move forward as a City and as a region.
