Notification of Road Closure – Upgrade Intersection Night Works Hepburn Avenue and Mirrabooka Avenue, Marangaroo

The City, as part of its 2024/2025 Capital Works Program, is proceeding with the upgrade of the roundabout at the intersection of Hepburn Avenue and Mirrabooka Avenue, Marangaroo.  Works will commence on 6 January 2025 with completion anticipated by 28 March 2025.

Due to the heavy daytime traffic at this intersection, to ensure public safety and the provision of access during the day, construction works need to be completed as night works, with associated road closures in place.

Details of road closure:

  • 6 January 2025 to 10 January 2025 and 3 February 2025 to 28 March 2025, between the hours of 8pm and 6am
  • This intersection will be closed to the public during the above dates and times
  • Variable Message Boards will be placed on the verges to communicate road closure/night works to commuters one week prior to night works commencing
  • Road detours will be in place which will, at times, result in increased traffic in the surrounding areas.

Access to private properties in the surrounding area will not be interrupted during these works and road access to this intersection will be available during the day.

Temporary traffic management will be implemented to safely manage traffic and pedestrians around the worksite, which will remain in place for the duration of these works.  Whilst it is inevitable that works of this nature will cause some inconvenience, every endeavour will be made to ensure this is kept to a minimum.
