Approach to Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road intersection:

  • From Monday 8 April 2019
  • Speed limit reductions, including 40km/h during work hours (intermittent days between 7am and 7pm).
  • Short term single lane closures may occasionally be required. These will be implemented outside of peak hour to reduce the impact on road users.

Early works on site include surveying, service location, clearing, removal of kerbs and roadside furniture, and the establishment of signage relating to traffic management. The work also includes the construction of a temporary alignment that will move traffic away from the intersection during construction.

Road conditions may be unfamiliar. Please proceed with caution at all times and adhere to the speed limit and signage throughout the area.

The Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road Interchange construction works will be completed in late 2020. The interchange will improve connectivity in all directions, and reduce travel times between coastal suburbs and employment centres such as Wangara and Malaga. It will also create a safer intersection and reduce congestion.
