Queen’s Baton Relay

Published Thursday, 22nd February 2018

It’s just a matter of days until the Queen’s Baton Relay arrives in the City of Wanneroo!

Queen's Baton Relay

Get involved by cheering on more than 30 local legends who have been selected as batonbearers on Monday 26 February, or come and see the Baton up close at one of the City’s community celebrations.

The City is the only local government in Western Australia lucky enough to be hosting community celebrations at two locations - Quinns Rocks and Wanneroo - meaning more locals will get the chance to be part of this historic event.

Both locations will have entertainment, food and drinks available while waiting for the baton to arrive.

City of Wanneroo Libraries will be hosting a range of fantastic activities for kids at the Wanneroo celebration, based on the Gold Coast 2018 mascot, Borobi.

From koala puppets, books and colouring-in for the younger ones, to a Commonwealth Games activity booklet for older kids, there will be something for all primary school-aged children.
