Surf club construction resumes

There is welcome news for Yanchep residents with the building of the new Surf Life Saving Club scheduled to restart next week.
Newly appointed builder Bistel Construction was awarded the contract at a City Council meeting earlier this month.
The previous builder’s contract was terminated late last year, following a substantial departure from the approved construction program without reasonable cause.
The building project at Yanchep Lagoon is expected to be finished by the end of October and will provide club rooms, public facilities and disability access ramps to the beach.
The temporary beach stairs will stay in place during the construction period.
Parking bays to the north of the site will remain open to the public however there will be some temporary disruptions during lighting installation and landscaping.
Another parking area will be built next to the new surf club.
