New Yanchep Resource Lounge provides local benefits
Published Monday, 16th February 2015
The opening of the new Yanchep Business and Community Resource Lounge will provide Yanchep businesses & community groups with access to local support services, facilities and networking opportunities
City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the Resource Lounge, which is supported by the City of Wanneroo, Wanneroo Business Association, Small Business Centre North West Metro and Small Business Development Commission, will become the hub of business and community activity in Yanchep.
“In a rapidly growing region, the need for businesses to have access to local support services, facilities and networking opportunities was identified,” Mayor Tracey Roberts said.
"As the first facility of its type in the City of Wanneroo I’d encourage all businesses within and around Yanchep to visit and use the Lounge as much as possible."
Local businessman John Young said the Resource Lounge would be a valuable service to enable local businesses to access support, advice and resources locally.
"Access to localised services is a great support when starting and running a business in a small but growing community," he said. "The Resource Lounge is a very welcome addition to the Yanchep community for local businesses like mine."
The Resource Lounge, located at the Yanchep Community Centre, 7 Lagoon Drive, Yanchep, will be open for use by small businesses between 8.30am-10am, Monday and Friday. At all other times, the Resource Lounge will be available for use by both businesses and the general community – subject to room availability.
Officially opening Friday 20 February, the Resource Lounge will offer a dedicated working space for local businesses, access to free WIFI, photocopying, printing, laminating and faxing services, as well as onsite business support (by appointment) and other resources.
