New clubrooms for Riverlinks Park, Clarkson

A new sports amenities building for Riverlinks Park in Clarkson is a step closer, with the contract awarded at last night’s November Council meeting.

Shelford Constructions Pty Ltd was awarded the $1.25 million contract, with construction expected to begin in early December.
The building will incorporate change facilities, toilets, a kiosk, storage facilities and a 40 bay car park.
The work will also involve a crossover from Connolly Drive, allowing safe vehicle access.
Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts said the project came about from requests from the local community.
“Council received a petition in 2013 requesting this development,” Mayor Roberts said. “The City of Wanneroo is a listening council and I am pleased this project is now due to commence.
“Local sports clubs will benefit greatly from this facility, and I know the members are all looking forward to it opening.”
Construction is expected to be completed in October 2017.
