Recovery information for residents in bushfire-affected areas
Published Wednesday, 14th January 2015
The City of Wanneroo will host a community bushfire forum for its residents who have been affected by the bushfire that started in Bullsbrook on Saturday, 10 January.
Various community agencies will be in attendance including the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), the Department of Child Protection, Western Power and WA Police.
The forum will provide residents with valuable recovery information as well as vital bushfire education to support them through current and future seasons.
Residents who have migrated to Australia and do not have experience with seasonal bushfires are encouraged to attend to help increase their bushfire awareness.
Community bushfire forum details:
- Thursday, 15 January 2015 at 6pm at the Gumblossom Community Centre, Tapping Way, Quinns Rocks.
- Saturday, 17 January 2015 at 10am at the Butler Community Centre, corner of Connolly Drive and Kingsbridge Boulevard.
The Red Cross will be available to provide support. The City's financial counsellors will also be on hand to support those who may experience financial hardship as a result of the bushfire.
Keep up to date by visiting the City's website or Facebook page. The City can also be contacted on 9405 5000.
