A Crash of Rhinos has landed

The City of Wanneroo in conjunction with the State Library of Western Australia is delighted to be exhibiting work from highly acclaimed children’s author/ illustrator, Patricia Mullins.
The exhibition includes original illustrations with a number of preliminary sketches, drawings and notes Patricia Mullins used to create her magnificent book A Crash of Rhinos.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said the City was delighted the State Library of WA generously loaned the exhibition to the Wanneroo Gallery to showcase the works.
“This interactive and engaging exhibition is perfect for all ages and we are thrilled our local community now have the opportunity enjoy it,” Mayor Roberts said.
A Crash of Rhinos is an exploration and celebration of language and collective nouns, accompanied by spectacular animal illustrations.
Residents are invited to visit the gallery and take part in a series of free activities and art workshops that will be enjoyed by all.
A Crash of Rhinos was published in 2010 and won the Notable Book (Picture Book of the Year) CBCA Awards in 2011.
Crash of Rhinos Exhibition will open on 26 August and run until 12 October upstairs at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre.
Two art workshops for children aged 5 to 8 years are being held during school holidays on 30 September. Cost is $5 per child and bookings are essential on 9405 5920.
