The City of Wanneroo promises its 2016-17 events program will be bigger and better than ever with exceptional experiences for everyone to enjoy.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said preparations were underway for a colourful calendar of free firstclass entertainment for families.
“Our annual events program brings our community together to celebrate life in our wonderful City all while enjoying premier entertainment,” Mayor Roberts said.
“Providing access to free experiences residents might not otherwise be able to enjoy is just one of the amazing things about our events season.”
The Living and Leisure Expo ft. Dogs Breakfast will kick off the events season on Sunday 23 October at Kingsway Sporting Complex.
Exhibits will showcase local products and services for the home, leisure, pets and adventure with free children’s entertainment, workshops, live demonstrations, competitions and
giveaways.
“This home, lifestyle and pet extravaganza is not to be missed. Bring along your four legged pooches for free vet checks, pet registrations and free microchipping to the first 100 people
along,” Mayor Roberts said.
“Plus this year you can cook up a storm with Wanneroo’s own Anna and Jordan from last season’s My Kitchen Rules!”
On Saturday 5 November, the City of Wanneroo Presents concert promises a fantastic line up of live music at the Wanneroo Showgrounds.
“This family-friendly event promises a night of talented entertainment which will be revealed in the coming months,” Mayor Roberts said.
Live in the Amphitheatre returns with an extended blockbuster calendar of movies screened under the stars across the summer months of January and February.
“The Jacaranda Amphitheatre is the perfect place to relax outdoors this summer with a range of family friendly films, comedies and classic movies,” Mayor Roberts said.
Step back in time for Retro Rewind on Saturday 4 March at Yanchep National Park. Bring the family along for live music and swing dancing along with a range of retro activities to
cater to all ages.
Wrapping up the events calendar on a high, Global Beats & Eats will be held on Saturday 18 March at Liddell Park Girrawheen. The City promises the headlining act will be worth the
wait along with world-class food that will tantalise your taste buds.
“Come along with the whole family and enjoy an evening that promises to be a sensation for the senses with entertainment and cuisines from all corners of the world,” Mayor Roberts
said.
