The City of Wanneroo’s Aquamotion has been named the WA Recognised Swim Centre of the Year 2016 by AUSTSWIM.
The annual award recognises excellence, commitment and innovation in the development and delivery of swimming and water safety programs.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said she was extremely proud of the swim school, who had received its second award in three months.
“In May, the swim school was awarded Australia’s best swim school for staff development and to get another prestigious award so soon is a fantastic achievement,” Mayor Roberts said.
“Every single teacher at Aquamotion is committed to leading in their field and they all demonstrate outstanding professionalism,” she said.
“This award is testament to the swim school’s expertise in providing quality classes and programs that cater to all ages and abilities.
“It is wonderful to see team Wanneroo acknowledged again for delivering an exceptional service to our community.”
This is the second time Aquamotion has won the award, the first was received in 2012. They will now represent Western Australia at the national awards.
AUSTSWIM accreditation is the industry standard for swimming and water safety teachers in Australia.
