Community planting continues in July
Published Thursday, 30th June 2016
There is still time to be part of the City of Wanneroo’s annual winter Community Planting Events, with planting days continuing into July.
By the end of July, volunteers will have planted almost 8000 new plants, helping to rejuvenate our local bushland, foreshores and dunes.
National Tree Day is on Sunday, 31 July, coinciding with the planting day at Long Beach Reserve, Mindarie. With 5000 plants for this one location, volunteers are encouraged to come along and lend a hand.
There will also be a planting day at Quinns Beach Bushland held in conjunction with the Quinns Rocks Environmental Group, and at the Yanchep Foreshore.
