Published Wednesday, 10th December 2014
Schools from throughout the City of Wanneroo have been getting into the Christmas spirit by participating in the City's Festival of the Trees.

As part of the community Christmas project, children from
a number of local schools made decorations from recycled materials and used
them to decorate Christmas trees in the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre
(WLCC).
The decorated trees will be on display throughout December and Mayor Roberts will present a prize to the school with the best decorated Christmas tree at an event at the WLCC on Friday 12 December.
"Festival of
the Trees is a wonderful way for children to get into the Christmas spirit
while expressing their creativity," Mayor Roberts said.
"It also promotes recycling, encouraging children to
actively think about reusing materials that they may otherwise throw out."
Participating schools were invited t come to the WLCC to
decorate their tree during November.
