Consolidated disability services now available in Jindalee
Published Monday, 21st March 2016
Disability services will be locally provided for the first time for north coastal residents with the opening of new premises in Jindalee this month.
Mayor Tracey Roberts welcomed the opening of the new Alkimos local area coordination district office saying it would be of great benefit to local residents providing them with an essential service.
“This is an excellent example of how services are reaching our north coastal suburbs making them more accessible,” she said.
“The City of Wanneroo is a growth council with areas like Alkimos and Jindalee growing all the time and it is important that residents of these areas are able to access necessary services.
“The Jindalee team of 14 will provide support to more than 500 people with disability and their families locally for the first time and will also support future population growth in the Alkimos area and beyond.
“This is a very positive step forward for service provision within our City and I’m sure it will make a big difference to people with disability and their families.”
