A recent consultation with residents of the City of Wanneroo revealed they love the friendly, welcoming, safe and diverse community in which they live, work and play.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said the consultation results gave a great sample of how the local community feels about their City.
“Our City is expanding by the largest amount of any town or City in Western Australia and we need to ensure we keep our community at the heart of everything we do,” Mayor Roberts said.
“Community consultation is essential for us to know how the people who live, work, visit or support the City of Wanneroo feel.
“It is great to see so many positive responses and the many varied reasons why people love their community.”
The consultation, conducted by the City’s Connected and Resilient Communities team, involved receiving feedback from community members.
Among the responses given, residents revealed they love their City because it is friendly, welcoming, has a beautiful coastline and beaches, great parks, a diverse community, is safe and there are plenty of things to do.
“Everyone is so friendly and happy to help in your time of need,” said a Carramar resident. “It is such a beautiful place to live. I love the sea, beaches, places and people,” said a Mindarie resident.
“I have lived here for 30 years and feel like I belong. There are always interesting things to do,” said a Wanneroo resident.
