The City is aware of and understands residents’ concerns about the safety of kangaroos at Yanchep and is continuing to take what action we can to ensure they are safe and that motorists and the public in general take all possible care.

In addition to the road signs that have been installed along St Andrews Drive to warn about kangaroos in the area, the City is continuing to support the responsible agency, the Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPAW) to manage the situation effectively.

We appreciate the support residents have shown in caring for the kangaroos. Anybody who sees sick, injured or orphaned animals should contact DPAW’s WILDCARE HELPLINE directly on 9474 9055.
