Free caravan and trailer safety checks
Published Monday, 29th February 2016
Ensure the safety of yourself and your loved ones on our roads this Easter with the City of Wanneroo’s caravan and trailer checks.
The road safety initiative, organised by the City’s RoadWise Working Group, is raising awareness of the importance road safety and aims to give you peace of mind before travelling during the busy holiday period.
Take your caravan or trailer to the City’s Ashby Operations Centre on Saturday 12 March, where it will be examined to make sure it is safe to be towed.
The simple safety check is free, making it even easier to take up this preventative measure.
Past inspections have uncovered a wide range of faults including worn brakes and wheel bearings, electrical problems, suspension issues and worn tyres. All of these issues have the potential to contribute to crashes.
