City of Wanneroo responds to residents regarding Lakelands development

The City advises that the planning application for the proposed Estate Retirement Village Lakelands development will not be considered by council.
In response to the recently released details about the proposed Estate Retirement Village Lakelands development, the City of Wanneroo advises that this planning application will not be considered by the Council as the Council has no determining authority.
The North-West Joint Development Assessment Panel and the WA Planning Commission has the authority on planning permission for this application.
City officers will present a report and recommendations on the development to the Development Assessment Panel at a meeting on 8 February 2016.
In this report, consideration will be given to the zoning of the land, relevant council policy on East Wanneroo, environmental and servicing issues, as well as comments and submissions made by local residents.
