Nominations for the Western Australian Young Achiever Awards are now open and we want our local young achievers to be recognised.
City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts encourages residents to nominate a local young person for a Western Australian Young Achiever Award.
“There are so many standout young people in our community who are working hard to make the City of Wanneroo a better place to live,” she said.
“I encourage individuals, businesses and community groups to nominate a great young role model who is making a real difference.
“It would be wonderful to see our community well represented in these prestigious awards.”
Nominations are open until Friday 5 February 2016 in the following categories:
- The Coffee Club Arts and Fashion Award
- Australian Super Career Kick Start Award
- Scott Print Environment and Sustainability Award
- Catholic Education Western Australia Young Leadership Award
- Goodlife Health Clubs Health and Wellbeing Award
- Awards Australia Community Service and Volunteering Award
The awards will culminate with a Gala Presentation Dinner on Friday 13 May 2016 at Parmelia Hilton.
Category winners will each receive $2,000 and a magnificent trophy. One of the six category winners will be chosen as the Western Australian’s Young Achiever of the Year and will win an additional $2,000 and a state trophy.
