City of Wanneroo welcomes new director

Kirstie Davis has joined the City of Wanneroo as the Director of Community and Place, bringing a wealth of experience and a track record in community development and local government leadership.

Kirstie will oversee the strategic planning and implementation of initiatives that enhance the liveability, vibrancy and inclusivity of our community, working closely with key partners to foster a sense of belonging and drive development in the City.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kirstie to our team,” CEO Bill Parker said. “She brings a unique blend of expertise and passion for community engagement, which will be invaluable as we continue to build a thriving and inclusive City.”

“Kirstie’s appointment completes our Executive leadership team, who share a commitment to building on the organisation’s culture through a people-centric approach. I’m excited to see what we, along with the team at the City, are going to achieve for our community over the next few years.”

Kirstie joins the City of Wanneroo from the Shire of Harvey, where she was instrumental in representing the needs of residents, ratepayers and visitors through the provision of key community, sporting and cultural assets as the Director of Community and Lifestyle.

She also held previous roles at the WA Local Government Association and the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.

She holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, post graduate qualifications in Public Policy, and is currently undertaking a Master of Bioethical Decision Making at the University of Notre Dame.

"I’m honoured to join the City of Wanneroo and look forward to working with the team and the community to continue to create a place where everyone feels connected and valued," Kirstie said.

"I’m excited to work with community, business and political partners to help bring our shared vision for a dynamic and inclusive future for the City to life.”

Kirstie’s appointment reflects the City’s commitment to attracting top talent to lead our community initiatives and ensure our City remains a great place to live, work and visit.
