Green thumbs: join our winter planting program

Published Friday, 14th June 2024

We’re calling on our community to help green our neighbourhoods as part of the City’s annual winter planting program.

Winter planting

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said this year’s conservation calendar included a series of planting events across the City, from Koondoola to Two Rocks.

“During last year’s events, we planted more than 4,000 trees and over 20,000 tube stock,” she said.

“Our annual winter planting program improves the look and feel of our parks and open spaces and helps to rehabilitate natural areas and improve biodiversity.

“They’re also great opportunity to get out, meet your neighbours and discover more about your local area.”

Events are family friendly and morning tea will be provided.

To register, please contact the City’s Conservation Team on 9405 5000 or conservationmaint@wanneroo.wa.gov.au
