Variation to Prohibited Burning Period - Extended 1 April - 14 April 2025
Due to seasonal conditions, the City of Wanneroo has extended its Prohibited Burning Period until 14 April 2025 inclusive. No Permits to burn will be issued prior to this date.
Restricted Burning Period

The Restricted Burning Period will commence as of 6th May 2024
Due to the dry soil and no significant rain forecasted, the City’s Chief Bush Fire Control has instructed that NO PERMITS TO BURN will be issued until further notice.
Noting that from the 6 May, residents will be able to burn a single 1 metre pile of garden refuse between 6pm and 11 pm (no permits required) but must completely extinguish the fire before midnight on the same day, however if the Fire Danger Rating is HIGH or ABOVE (EXTREME, CATASTROPHIC) NO burning of garden refuse is to occur.
