The world’s most famous icons made an appearance in miniature version at the City of Wanneroo’s biggest LEGO display and play space this month.
From the Great Wall of China, Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal to Star Wars characters and airport, train and western scenes, there was something to entertain children of all ages and their families.
Although selected workshops were fully booked in advance, more than 1200 visitors attended the free exhibition and play space featuring 12,000 LEGO bricks and DUPLO®.
Workshop participants competed in teams to construct the tallest tower, create their own 'Legosaur' and build spaceship, satellite and space-related LEGO formations.
A door tally recorded 40 per cent of attendees travelled from outside the City to be at the event held at the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre by the community links and heritage, museum and arts teams.
Clarkson Library’s first LEGO Club on 23 July was also a hit with 20 children and parents taking part.
