The City of Wanneroo launched its brand new online customer service centre boasting a range of new and improved features to help residents when accessing services and information.
City of Wanneroo Mayor Tracey Roberts was pleased to launch the new user-friendly centre which was specifically designed to improve the online experience for residents.
"There were more than 80,000 visits to the City's website in the past 12 months and with more people accessing the internet from mobile devices, we needed to create a centre that caters for all users appropriately," she said.
"The new centre is fully responsive, allowing easy viewing and use on different sized screens – from smartphones to desktop computers.
"It is important to simplify processes and give residents the ability to access online information and services. One of the City's key objectives is to be a strong and progressive organisation and we are working towards this."
In addition
to fully responsive design, the centre is clear and easy to read with
prominently placed frequently requested information. It also contains a powerful
new search engine and a what's in my area tool, which allows users to find
facilities in their area.
Users now have the ability to create an online account with a personalised
account page which shows submitted forms.
The user can also
subscribe to e-newsletters and can save partially completed online forms and
come back to them later.
In the future, the service will expand to include personalised reporting
allowing users to access rates information and other relevant notices. An
online community consultation tool is also being developed.
