The City of Wanneroo has awarded two construction tenders for new sports buildings in Quinns Rocks and Koondoola as part of its 2018/2019 Capital Works program.
Devlyn Australia will oversee the construction of a new sports amenities building in Belhaven Park, Quinns Rocks at fixed lump sum cost of $1,054,432.
The project will provide unisex change rooms, a fully fitted kiosk, timer locked public toilets, store rooms, a first aid room and umpire room.
Solution 4 Building Pty Ltd has been awarded a contract to construct a sports amenities building at an active reserve located off Shelvock Circle in Koondoola at a fixed lump cost of $1,447,011.
The new sports facility will provide unisex change rooms, a fully fitted kiosk, timer locked public toilets, store rooms, a first aid room and an umpire room, along with the demolition of the current building on site.
Mayor Tracey Roberts said both projects were in line with the City’s vision to create distinctive places and opportunities that encourage community wellbeing and active, healthy lifestyles.
“The City is committed to providing facilities for the benefit of our communities, and these projects are important developments for the residents of Koondoola and Quinns Rocks,” Mayor Roberts said.
The City is currently working with both contractors on construction schedules and will continue to liaise with users groups about how the works may affect their activities.
