Girrawheen Hub - What's On

Want to make things happen for your community?

Girrawheen Neighbourhood Network

The City supports the Girrawheen Neighbourhood Network, our local Town Team, to develop events, initiatives and projects that benefit the local community. Come and meet like-minded people from Girrawheen and the surrounding community to discuss ideas to boost our community.

Meetings are held monthly at the Girrawheen Hub, all community members are welcome to join - come along and see what it's all about.

Girrawheen Sewing and Mending group

Are you a sewing, mending or repair enthusiast, or simply want to learn more? Do you have a pile of clothes and other textiles that you say you’ll repair ‘one day’?

The sewing group meets informally at Girrawheen Hub fortnightly on Tuesday mornings to repair and mend textiles, share tips, learn new skills, and have a cup of tea and a chat. Come along and join this friendly group as they mend and sew together. Just BYO textiles and any sewing supplies needed.

The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month between 10am – 12pm at the Girrawheen Hub:

  • 27 August 2024
  • 10 and 24 September 2024
  • 8 and 22 October 2024
  • 12 and 26 November 2024
  • 10 December 2024
