Australian Heritage Festival

They’ll be plenty of hands on heritage fun to be had! Discover stories of the past through Noongar language singing workshops, explore the sights of the City in days gone by through film, learn how to weave a basket, and more.  

Do you love historical buildings? Uncover the charms of the oldest remaining houses in the City, Buckingham House and Cockman House, and take a peek into the life of some of the City’s early European settlers. While here you can try your hand at copperplate writing, learn about bush tucker for your garden, or grab a photo looking the part with some old fashioned dress-ups.
