Community Facility Projects - Koondoola - Shelvock Park new carpark

This project has been funded under the Australian Government’s Local Roads & Community Infrastructure Program – Phase 2. This program supports local councils to deliver priority local road and community infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting jobs and the resilience of local economies to help communities bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic. This project provides an additional 20 car parking bays on Callison Way, which is on the west side at Shelvock Park, Koondoola. Currently West Nam United Soccer Club and residents in the general area use this park. The new Shelvock Park Sports amenities building was completed in August 2020, and due to the increased demand for parking, the additional parking bays will assist with the significant reduction of those illegally parking on verges and footpaths. |
