About the position

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our passionate Place Management team on a part-time basis. The Place Management team is focused on creating and activating great places across the City of Wanneroo, through engagement and collaboration with our communities.  The successful appointee will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high level of customer service to internal staff and external customers of the City of Wanneroo,
  • Completing administration processes such as purchasing, reporting, business tracking, record management, process improvement.
  • Providing administration support to the Manager Place Management.
  • Providing general administration support to the Place Management team to assist then to undertake their duties
  • Respond to enquiries relating to the operations of the Service Unit.
  • Communicate, Engage and provide support / advice to relevant stakeholders and customers
  • Playing a key role in creating a positive culture in a high performing team.

Administration Officer – Place Management Position Description

About you

As a collaborative member of the Place Management team, you will thrive working in a change-driven organisation and meet the following:

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or relevant experience.
  • Intermediate experience in administrative and financial processes.
  • Intermediate computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Intermediate keyboard / data entry skills.
  • Intermediate skills in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service.
  • Intermediate organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of Occupational Health and Safety measures in the workplace including hazard identification in an office environment.
