For many years Lot 124 Timely Hostess Mews (Timely Hostess Park), Mariginiup has been used unofficially as a place where horses can be exercised.
During this time there have been incidents regarding dogs being exercised in the same area as horses. Currently dogs are allowed to be exercised in the park off-lead.
The City is considering specifying Lot 124 Timely Hostess Mews as an area where horses can be exercised.
Feedback invited
Before any changes are made, the City is seeking feedback and comments from the local community on designating Lot 124 Timely Hostess Mews as a horse exercise area and either restricting dogs to being exercised on lead only or prohibiting dogs from the park.
The consultation period is now open through to COB on Monday, 6 March 2023.
