Community Funding

The City of Wanneroo is proud of its diverse community and aims to support community activities that align with the City’s strategic objectives and provide benefits to the community, its residents, visitors and worker’s including community capacity building, resilience and sustainability. 

If you are considering applying for Community Funding, please read through the Community Funding Guidelines and Application Package below before submitting an application. 

Community Funding Guidelines and Application Package 

All Community Funding Applications are assessed against the City’s Community Funding Policy and must be made via the City’s Online Funding Portal.

Response and Recovery Fund

The City is taking applications for the Community Response and Recovery Fund to support initiatives that support communities to recover following the Mariginiup Bushfires.

Kickstarter Fund

Support for short-term, low-cost local projects for community, organisations and businesses and activate public spaces. Applications are for approximately $500.

Community Grants

Support for one-off community-led and co-funded local activities, projects and events that benefit the wider community. Applications are capped at $5,000.

Participation Fund

Support for individuals participating in State, National and International competitions, festivals and exhibitions in the areas of sport, art and culture. Open year-round with funding up to $400 for individuals and up to $1,600 per team.
