Impound fees and legislative requirements may be applicable before any animal can be released.
If your dog has been impounded a fee of $112 applies. After 7 days an additional $28.50 per day applies.
If the dog has not been registered, then registration fees will also apply.
Under the New Dog Regulations, all newly registered dogs require to be microchipped. If the dog has not been microchipped then a $56.50 fee is required before the dog will be released. Rangers will arrange an appointment with a nominated vet and the owner will need to ensure they attend the appointment.
