The links above reflect the animals currently in the Centre. So if there isn't a link to cats, for example, there are currently no cats impounded.
The Animal Care Centre is located at the City of Wanneroo Ashby Operations Centre, 1204 Wanneroo Road, Ashby. If your pet is impounded you will need to call the City on 9405 5000 to make an appointment to collect the animal.
Pets that have been picked up by Rangers and are not claimed are re-homed where possible.
Please be aware that the City’s Animal Care Centre is a cashless facility. If you are making arrangements to collect or adopt an animal, only debit card and credit card facilities are available.
Lost a pet?
Owners whose pets have wandered from home should refer to the above links and ring the Animal Care Centre on 9405 5000 during office hours, or 1300 138 393 after hours to see if their pet has been impounded. If your pet is found by one of our Rangers and is wearing a current Council registration tag, the City of Wanneroo will contact you.
Impound fees and legislative requirements may be applicable before any animal can be released.
If your cat is not microchipped or wearing a registration tag, the City may have delivered your cat to the Cat Haven. The Cat Haven can be contacted via phone on 9442 3600. Alternatively, the Cat Haven also manages a lost and found website that includes pictures of all recently admitted cats at www.cathavenlostandfound.com.
