Greening our City this winter
Published Thursday, 16th May 2019
The City of Wanneroo is calling on the local community to help plant for a greener future.
A total of 17,500 tubestock will be planted across all revegetation sites this winter, with six events open to the community to join in.
Mayor Tracey Roberts encouraged people to get involved, with events taking place right across the City.
“Not only are you helping the environment and planting for a greener future, it is a great way to meet your neighbours,” Mayor Roberts said.
“The species are all endemic to the site where they are being planted and include groundcover, shrubs and trees.”
Mayor Tracey Roberts thanked the Wanneroo Scouts and the schools who will also be helping out with various planting days.
