Aquamotion crowned waterwise aquatic centre of the year

The Water Corporation’s annual awards recognise Western Australian local governments and aquatic centres for embedding waterwise principles into their operations.

Platinum Waterwise Aquatic Centre of the Year is awarded to the aquatic centre demonstrating innovation and achievements over and above best practise water management.

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said the award was a credit to the Aquamotion team’s dedication to reducing water usage at the centre.

“Congratulations to the fantastic team at Wanneroo Aquamotion on this well-deserved recognition,” she said.

“Over the last few years, Aquamotion has received several waterwise upgrades, including plant room renewals that have reduced the centre’s water and energy requirements, and the installation of water-saving drink fountains, sinks, showers, and toilets.

“It’s fantastic to have such a dedicated team who are committed to making these positive changes and working towards a more sustainable City.”
